Planning and designing temporary traffic management to the highest standards

Class One TM provides a comprehensive and independent consultation and planning service for all temporary traffic management projects. From concept to completion, we can advise on any type of scheme giving you the confidence and reassurance that your project will be delivered on time, on budget and with safety as the priority.

Successful traffic management begins at the design and planning stage. From simple to complex schemes, our in-house design team offers a holistic approach to traffic management planning. We provide all associated CAD designs and drawings, to include temporary road markings and vehicle restraint systems, to create a robust and fully integrated design.

Our in-house design team is trained to the highest standards. All technicians and managers receive Lantra National Highways Sector Scheme Module 7 Technician training and use Bricscad/Cone 10 to an advanced level to produce site specific drawings.

Our knowledge ensures that risks are highlighted, and the necessary control measures are put in place during the planning and design stages, reducing the likelihood of issues arising when a project starts.

Our contracts department will also liaise with all necessary stakeholders including local councils, emergency services, bus operators and trunk road operators to ensure a co-ordinated approach to all projects.

We can also advise on any Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTROs) or Departures from Standard that are required and assist with producing and submitting the required paperwork for these. Every design is fully compliant with the applicable design standards, including the New Roads and Street Works Act, Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions, Traffic Signs Manuals and Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB).

Our particular specialism is ensuring that the Traffic Signs Manual Chapter 8 requirements are fulfilled for high-speed projects, having expertise in both the design and operational considerations of temporary work-zones.
